Steve M. Anderson, 80, passed away on May 4, 2023, at his home in Weston, Idaho. He passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones in the same home in which he was born. Steve was born on June 25, 1942, in Weston, Idaho to Jack McCulluch Anderson and Alta Eudora Stone Anderson. Steve married the love of his life, Loila Godfrey Anderson, on March 2, 1962, in Preston, Idaho. Steve and Loila celebrated 50 years of marriage.
He is survived by his three children, Lesa (Kirt) Womack of Garland, Utah, Kevin (Teresa) Anderson of Weston, Idaho, and Sherly (Andrew) Paules of Pocatello, Idaho, and a sister Marie (Garry) Carter of Elwood, Utah. He is also survived by his grandchildren Mitchell, Derek, Sheena, Stetsen, Kelton, Kaitlyn, McKennie, Rykin, Alyssa, and Madison plus 20 great-grandchildren.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Loila, his sister Ramona Porter, and his great-grandchild Peter Womack. He is leaving behind many close friends and extended family that loved him dearly. Aside from spending a few years of early adulthood driving a milk truck, he spent most of his life working hard on the homestead dairy farm. He loved feeding the calves with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. This earned him the nickname of Grandpa Cow. Steve enjoyed Sunday drives with his wife looking for wildlife and scenery while checking crops around the valley.
