Barbara Joanne Browne

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of our beloved mother, Barbara Browne. Barbara was called to heaven on her birthday at 74 years old.

Barbara was born in Borger, Texas, but was a long time resident of Santa Maria, California. During her time in Santa Maria she owned and operated Fredrick’s restaurant in the late 70s to early 80s. While in Santa Maria, she started a family and became a dedicated mother. Barbara eventually made her way to Dayton, Idaho and enjoyed her time on her farm.

Barbara is survived by her three children, Tiffany Marquez of Orcutt, California, David Browne of Maricopa, Arizona, and Gary Browne of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is also survived by her partner, Hal McLearan, sister, Betty Williams, and brother, David Gassett. She has two grandchildren, Maddisen Marquez and Camron Marquez and, several “adopted grandchildren.”

Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday September 1, 2023, at the Franklin County Funeral Home, 56 S State Street, Preston, ID. Friends may call from 12:30 pm to 1:40 pm prior to the services.
