Dear friends and family,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Carney, who left this world on June 1, 2024, in Pocatello, Idaho. Carol was born on February 2, 1941, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to parents Arthur and Phoebe Partington.

Carol was a devoted spouse to her husband, Merton Carney. She was a wonderful mom to her two children, Sherry and Jason, and her three stepdaughters, Stephanie, Carolyn, and Susie. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.  

Carol leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be carried on by her surviving family members. She is survived by her daughter Sherry and son-in-law Gary Anderson, her son Jason, and daughter-in-law Vicki Carney. She is also survived by her siblings Dixie Abbott, Gary and Val Partington, and Gail Layton, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Kris Blair, Hailey Greenrod, Ryan Glascock, Dustin and Tauna Carney, Olivia, Kylee and Austin Blair, Ryker and Madi Carney, Lance, and Jase Glascock. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mert Carney, and her sister, Diane Abbott. 
 
During this time of grief, let us remember Carol for the joy she brought into our lives and the love she shared with each one of us. May her soul rest in eternal peace.  

A  Celebration of Life will be held June 22, 2024, from  3 pm to 6 pm at Simplot Park, US-30, Pocatello, ID.
