Dennis Harold Byington, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away on June 26, 2024, in Preston, Idaho, following a brief illness. He entered this world on October 8, 1940, in Ogden, Utah, born to the late Harold Jesse Byington and Vonda Moore Byington.
Dennis married Judy Virginia Bean, and from that union, two sons were born, Kent and Kerry. She passed away at a young age from a lingering illness. On February 4, 1977, Mr. Byington united in marriage with his beloved Frances Larson in Idaho Falls. Their bond was further sanctified in marriage on October 10, 1981, at the Idaho Falls Temple. Frances passed away on February 02, 2022, in South Carolina, where Dennis and Francis lived. Following Frances's passing, Dennis relocated to Franklin, where he resided. Dennis served in various capacities within the LDS Church throughout his life.
During his distinguished tenure as a Quality Engineer in the Aerospace Industry, Mr. Byington left an indelible mark on those he encountered with his professionalism and proficiency. His steadfast commitment to excellence distinguished him and garnered respect across the aerospace sector. Dennis will be fondly remembered for his unwavering dedication to his craft. Dennis was also a single-engine pilot.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons Kerry (Jennifer) Byington of Idaho Falls, ID; Kent (Amy) Byington of Tooele, UT; and Jeff Byington of SC. Also holding dear memories of Dennis are his daughter-in-law, Tracy Byington, and his sisters, Bonnie Kipart and Yvonne Stakebake. His legacy endures through his 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who held him dear.
In addition to his loving family members, Dennis is reunited in the afterlife with his parents and preceded by his 1st wife, Judy, and second wife, Frances, and their son, John. Though no longer with us physically, Dennis's spirit perpetuates among those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.
A visitation will be held on July 20th from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at Franklin LDS Church in Franklin, Idaho. A funeral service will follow at noon at the church. Interment will follow at Preston Cemetery.
