Diana Jean Burbank

Diana Jean Burbank, known affectionately as Diane, passed away in Preston, Idaho on October 2, 2023, peacefully surrounded by her loved ones after bravely battling Alzheimer's. Born in Pontiac, Michigan on August 24, 1956, Diane's zest for life and loving nature touched everyone she met.

Diane was a hardworking and dedicated woman who held positions in various industries throughout her life. Her friendly demeanor and genuine kindness fostered many lifelong friendships with her colleagues and associates. Diane's adventurous spirit shone through in her work and personal life, imbuing every day with an infectious enthusiasm that inspired those around her.

Diane had a deep love for the outdoors, often spending time exploring nature and reveling in its beauty. She had a particular fondness for scrapbooking and crafting, hobbies that allowed her to capture and create memories to cherish. Traveling was another passion of Diane's, her adventurous heart leading her to experience and appreciate various cultures and landscapes. Above all, Diane loved spending time with her family and friends, her love and devotion to them being the cornerstone of her life.

Diane is survived by her family members: Troy Burbank, Richard Zoellner (Amy), Peggy Golightly (Justin), Michael Burbank (Amanda), Tyson Burbank, Nayda Burbank, James Vanderpool, Michael Vanderpool, Sandy Zavala, Rick Vanderpool (Cathy), Trish Clark (David), Chad Vanderpool (Amy). She was a beloved grandmother to eight grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren. Each of them will remember her for her loving nature and the joy she brought to their lives.

Diane was a woman of strength and grace, her character best described by the words adventurous, loving, and friendly. She had a way of making everyone around her feel special, her warm smile and kind words leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her. As Maya Angelou once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." This quote perfectly encapsulates Diane's approach to life and the legacy she leaves behind.

Those who knew Diane will remember her for her vivacious spirit, her love for life, and the love she had for her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, a testament to a life well-lived. Diane's life serves as a beautiful reminder to live each day with love, kindness, and a sense of adventure.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday October 10, 2023, at the Franklin County Funeral Home, 56 S State Street, Preston, Idaho. The family will be recieving friends for a visitation on Monday October 9, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, and again on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30. Please share a favorite memory of Diane or offer condolences to the family, by leaving a tribute on this page.
