Fay Carol Duffy, 82, passed away peacefully at FCMC in Preston, Idaho, on November 27th, 2024.
Fay was born on December 23, 1942, in Davenport, Iowa, to Robert Boekholder and Juanita Bartels. She married Huston W. Duffy on September 12, 1971, and they were married for 44 years before he preceded her in death. Huston and Fay moved from California to Idaho in 1975 to expand their ministry and help where there was a need.
Fay dedicated her life and was baptized on October 4, 1958 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed sharing her love of God's word with those she met and brought encouragement and comfort to those that listened. She believed in the future resurrection that is mentioned in John 5:28, 29 and looked forward to seeing her husband Huston again.
In 1976, they welcomed a son, Micah, and in 1978, a daughter, Katrina.
She enjoyed life and spent time listening to music and dancing, scrapbooking, quilting, reading, traveling, playing cards and board games with friends, and checking in with her family and friends on a daily basis. She taught her kids the love of the outdoors and enjoyed camping and walking through nature.
Many also knew her as an Avon Lady, and she always had an open door to visit at her home.
Fay is survived by her two biological children, Micah and Camaleigha; two sons, Gabriel and Adrian of Horseshoe Bend, Idaho, Katrina; and her two grandchildren, Nathan and Patricia of Meridian, Idaho. She also has three siblings, Rebecca Mcgrew, Nancy Cale, and Mark Boekholder, and many others who she considered family.
