Shane Keith Daniels, 67, passed away unexpectedly on December 6, 2024, in Brigham City, Utah. He was born on July 24, 1957, in Lodi, California to Daniel Kenneth Daniels and Verna Joan Smith. He grew up in California, where he graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA.

In 1975, he joined the United States Army, where he served and was Honorably discharged for “having a negative ATTITUDE!”

He moved to Preston, Idaho, in 1991 to be closer to his parents. He worked in the IT department of Franklin County Medical Center for 24 years. He had a brilliant mind when it came to computers. He was a self-taught computer networking expert. As a young boy, electronics fascinated him; he took apart every device he could get his hands on.

He was a passionate licensed Ham Radio operator. He had several “large” antennas that he used to communicate with other operators around the country.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Janice Young Wilson Preston, and Mother Verna Joan Smith Daniels Preston. Children Shauna, Georgia, Tina California; Scott (Janelle) California; Shane Jr. (Whitney) Preston; Jeff (Hollee) River Heights; Angie (Clint) Franklin, Amy (Tony) Preston. He had seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Kenneth Daniels.
