Our sweet-hearted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, Teresa Ayala-Whitman (Woodyard) 71, of Soda Springs, Idaho passed away peacefully at home on November 19, 2022. She was born March 29, 1951 in Soda

Springs, Idaho. Her parents are Donald and Darlene Woodyard.

She is survived by her children Sally (Dirk) Spencer, Scott (Carrie) Ayala, Sunny (Tyler) Mays, Weezy Whitman, and Robert Whitman. She is blessed to be survived by 14 grandchildren: Kelvin Bargenquast, Trevor Bargenquast, Sherelle Holmes, Aden Ayala, Owen Ayala, Andrew Spencer, Cody Spencer, Emily Spencer, Craig Spencer, Summer Mays, Tyler Thompson, Hannah Thompson, Brian Whitman and RJ Whitman. She is blessed to be survived by 7 great grandchildren: Jesse Loveall, Jaymie Loveall, Jayden Bargenquast, Jersey Bargenquast, Parker Bargenquast, Arthas Spencer, and Morganna Spencer.

She loved to watch them trick or treat, cut down Christmas Trees or just play inside or out. Working on puzzles or playing board games with them. She diffidently enjoyed spending quality time with them all. Grandma loved them all very much.

She is also survived by her sister Nancy Brooks. Brother in law Randy Spencer, Brother in law Darold Twitchell

She joins her Two husbands, Ron Ayala and DJ Whitman, along with her sisters Norma Jean Twitchell, Renae Spencer and her dog Fargo.

Teresa was born and raised in Soda Springs, graduating from Soda Springs High School in 1969. She then married Ron Ayala in the spring of 1970. They lived in Broomfield Colorado for many years where she enjoyed watching her kids Sally and

Scott grow up. She always had open arms and a loving heart for the neighborhood kids.

Teresa and Ron would love to “go to the hills” and gamble. She also love to make pizza and watch the Avalanche, Broncos, Mammoth and Rockies. She worked at Storage Tec, Vari-L and later helped own a Quiznos sandwich shop in Thornton Colorado. After the passing of Ron she went to Alaska where she meet and married DJ Whitman in the summer of 2006. There she loved to camp and fish with her husband DJ, sister Ranae and brother in-law Randy. Her dog Fargo was right with her on every trip. She enjoyed her time and visits with Sunny, Weezy and Robert with their respective family’s.

She always looked forward to hearing or seeing them all. No matter what, her smile and laughter was always contagious. In 2019 when she moved back to her home town she was reunited with family and friends that still adored her so much. She still continued make her greeting cards and birthday cards. This was one thing she loved to do so much. She loved to take a drive and reminiscing about friends and family. Where ever she lived she would always plant and take care of her roses. Her favorite was Mr. Lincoln.

Teresa kept Kodak in business with all of the pictures that she took from her many many trips. She would love to show them all and tell everybody about her adventures and the people that she met. Teresa never met a person she didn’t like. She could be

goofy at times which endeared her to us. She wasn’t afraid to show her love for her family and friends. Gave hugs freely. She would dance and sing to Wooly Bully by Sam the sham and the pharaohs whenever it would come on. She could never get enough of Elvis Presley, she would dance and sing to his songs and sit down and watch his movies whenever they would be on.

Cremation will take place. Her ashes will be laid to rest at a later date. For right now we ask everyone to celebrate her life in their own way. We would love for a story or memory of Teresa, maybe even a picture that she didn’t take. She will be missed, but her smile and laughter will always be in our hearts.
