In Loving Memory of Valanne Hill Farr 1937-2024
Valanne’s journey on this earth came to a peaceful close on June 05, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and creativity that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her. Valanne was a woman of many passions, each adding a vibrant hue to the tapestry of her life. As an artist, she wielded her brush with finesse, crafting pieces that reflected the beauty she saw in the world around her. Her art reflected her talent and was a window into her soul, revealing depths of emotion and imagination that captivated all who saw it.
Valanne had many interests throughout her life. She took great pride in designing, planting, and maintaining the landscaping in her yard. She was an excellent baker and cook. Her house was always immaculate. In Valanne’s free time, she would likely be found reading one of her Harlequin Romance novels. Valanne attended Utah State University and earned her Technician Class Amature Radio license, call sign N7ZPH.
Valanne had a quick wit and a ready smile, and her irrepressible sense of humor could turn even the darkest days into moments of levity and laughter. Her playful spirit was infectious, brightening the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Though Valanne has bid farewell to this world, her spirit lives on in the hearts of her two sons, Michael Farr (Wendy) and Jeffrey Farr (Jake), who were her pride and joy. Valanne was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Vin Farr, her parents, H. Vernon Hill and Vallecita Johansen Hill, and her sisters, Eleanor Jenkins and Renee Fuller, and her brother, Marlin Hill. She is also survived by Eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In honoring Valanne’s memory, let us remember not only the beauty of her art, the splendor of her garden, or the laughter she shared but also her limitless drive and the unbounded spirit that defined her.
